Jessie Buckley and Joe Thompson, West End Performers, are coming to Cookhill Village Hall on Saturday 9th October 2010 in our "West End Cabaret"

Irish singer and actress Jessie Buckley was born in Killarney, County Kerry and quickly developed many musical skills. She was praised as one of the brightest stars on the musical scene in early 2008 following her rise to prominence reaching the final and runner up spot in Andrew Lloyd Webber's and BBC's production of "I'D DO ANYTHING", and since then has performed in various concerts across the UK and Ireland. Last year she made her debut as Anne Egerman in the revival of the Stephen Sondheim musical "A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC", directed by Trevor Nunn at the Menier Chocolate Factory which then transferred to the Garrick Theatre in the West End.

Jessie has recently starred in a short film, PREMIER OCTOBER 2010, and appeared at the "ROYAL ALBERT HALL" in "A NIGHT OF A THOUSAND VOICES" .She can now be seen in many West End Cabaret shows with Joe Thompson at top London Venues.

Joe Thompson is a leading West End Pianist and can be seen in many top clubs and restaraunts in London. Joe is a truly superb pianist who seems to use all 88 keys in every song. It's almost as if Jessie were accompanied by a full band, rather than just a piano, and they will be performing a mix of songs from the musicals , big band shows, and the great American Song Book / Jazz.

CABARET SCENES REVIEW said that "it's rare to encounter talent of this calibre: in fact it's almost unheard of - go see Jessie Buckley - NOW!"
